Committing my Cause to God in 2013

When I got the review from WordPress and found out that people in 94 countries have been reading my stories, I was totally blown away.  I want to thank each of you for looking at this blog.  Happy New Year.  I wonder where we will be 2014.  I know for sure, if we don’t start now, we will be looking back and wishing we had.

I found a wonderful Scripture in Job 5:8.  It says “I would seek God and unto God I would commit my cause.”  This year, I am starting a new business venture and it is set to kick off today.  Seeking God, I commit this new venture to Him.

I have spent a lot of money (for me) to develop web pages that will help me and those I select to become successful!!  There are many wonderful tools that I can share with others.

I must confess, I have butterflies, but as with any business, you have to spend money to make money.  Very soon I will post a blog that tells you how you can apply, if you are interested.  While I don’t promise that you will make $1 million, those who will be serious can develop a nice income as a result of their effort.  The amazing tools and support makes success not only possible but highly probable.

I am also part of a group of friends that are committing to live wiser lives this year by eating healthy and normalizing our weight once and for all.  We are starting after New Year’s Day.  Stay tuned for my progress!

Watch for my announcement!!

“What are you seeking and what cause do you have in 2013?”  Let me know.

Blogging Class Bogged Down by Cyberspace Wierdness 3/07/2012

Well it happened.  I am on Skype and taking a really good blogging class and the Internet in their location is very uncooperative.  It is interesting being a headshot and not being able to see everyone in the class.  Fortunately screen sharing makes things more pleasant.  Today, however, was extremely frustrating.  We didn’t get through everything because of the problems we encountered.

Let me put it this way, they may have gotten it all, but I missed out on some pieces.

I have learned so much from the class that I really can’t complain.  I am becoming much more confident using social media.  And, people I don’t even know are choosing to follow me!  How great is that?

So, I think I will sing a song instead of being frustrated.  What shall I sing?  “Don’t worry, be happy!”

Saving Daylight Productively in 2012

Our ancestors thought it would be a good idea to save daylight.  It is really not a savings but a reallocation.  We are moving the time from of the daylight hours from early morning to later in the day.  Personally, I think a golfer came up with this idea and when I did my research, this certainly played into it.

Well, so the real question is – “What shall I do in the evening with all that lovely daylight?”

Here are some great ideas: Take a walk. Take a drive in the country (if you can afford the gas.)  Have guests in for a bar-b-Que.  All very good ideas.

But I have a great idea!  I will have a Sensé beautiful science® Spa Party!

This truly fabulous skin-care has groundbreaking, patented self-preserving technology and no added chemical preservatives.  The products stay fresh naturally.  They are gentle and healthy even for the most sensitive skin.  The antioxidant complexes in every product revitalize skin cells, leaving your skin looking younger and more radiant while properly nourishing and rehydrating your cells.

So, I will plan a Spa Party and invite over several friends and introduce them to the feeling of really clean, hydrated skin.  I will set up the table with healthy fruit snacks.  Then we will use the products while we fellowship and catch up on each others lives.    When my guests leave, their skin will be clean and radiant in the beautiful early evening light.

There is nothing quite like a Sense’ facial.  It makes you glow.  Even some Hollywood stars and news anchors swear by the products as they really clean up even the heavy makeup used to look good on the big screen.

Yep!  I think that is a great way to use daylight.

So, here is my question.  “How are you going to use that lovely daylight hour?”

Liking Linking!!

Social media is such a paradigm shift for those of us who are over 60.  It is a bewilderment and a puzzle.  Some of us just shut our minds to the possibilities.  But we are living longer and we are living stronger so it is important that we stay current.  Younger people fall into the various aspects of the computer world easily, but it can cause our minds to shut down and our hands to be thrown up in despair.

I challenge you to get involved.  If you are computer challenged, take a class.  If you are getting ‘it’ to some degree, take a blogging class, write a blog and get on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.  Your grandkids will love it and you will dazzle your more mature friends.

LinkedIn is a site that opens up doors.  Today, advertising is more effective using social media than running a newspaper ad.  Do you have a small business?  Are you working for someone and want to get more customers?  Do you have a ministry that you make known?  Would you like to get a new job? LinkedIn and blogging are two of many social media vehicles that open doors for you.

I would encourage you to take the plunge.  Then continue to study and become more proficient.  You can’t make a mistake.  The computer is very forgiving and if you really mess it up, ask your grandchild to get you back on line.

At times, I still feel lost in blogging class, but I have learned that my mouth is a good way to find out what I am missing – so I ask questions.  I am a 69 year old Grandmother and I am running three blogs and a webpage.  I had worked on a computer in my job before retirement, but I never did anything like this.  I can assure you that I am NOT a techie!  You can do it if I can!

If you would like to know more about me, check me out on LinkedIn.  Kathy Brady Caruso.    Just click on my name and it will take you to the site.  See you there!

Then leave me a message with your thoughts!  Will you give LinkedIn and blogging a try?

A great job you can do on vacation!!

For many years, I did ‘headhunting’ and when we would vacation, I would look for a pay phone and try to close a deal hundreds of miles away from the office.  While I was good at my job and closed many deals at the office, there was something about being on vacation and trying to get things to come together.  It never worked.  If I made the placement, they would unravel within hours.

The last few years before I retired, cell phones were becoming popular.  It eased some of the stress and the last few years, I felt more confident.  But the intense nature of the job and the timing of being available at a moments notice made the attempts unsatisfying.  The point of the vacation was to relax and it kept me on edge.

After retirement, I began to sell Usana.  These are the highest quality supplements available according to an independent study of over 1500 companies that manufacture vitamins.  They have a manufacturing facility that was approved this year by the FDC.  They manufacture pharmaceutical grade products.  What’s on the label is in the bottle and is bio-available to the body – which means it absorbs and doesn’t end up in the commode.

That was my commercial . . . now, why do I think I have a job that can be done on vacation?  Usana can be presented to anyone, anywhere.  You carry a small folio that has the catalog and a computer for placing the first order.  After that, they go on autoship and are in charge of changing their own orders.

They have conventions and training all through the year in wonderful destinations that can be tied into a vacation and actually help make the vacation affordable by deducting some of the costs from your taxes.

With some of my up line at the international Usana Convention in Salt Lake City

As a business, it has the best payout in the industry.  My website is http://encorenow.usana.com.  You can read about the impact it has had on my life and my family and fill out a form so that I can contact you.

Would you like to make money, improve your health and be part of a quality organization that cares to make products that are superior to most any in the industry?  Let me know.

Discover my blog!

A true discovery moment was when my friend, Steve helped me put up a website and then introduced me to the Chiefblogger!  This was an adventure I had not counted on.  Blogging has opened up an avenue of expression and fun!  It is a way to talk about healthy living and other issues without anyone talking back or disagreeing with me at the time.  Of course, they are able to comment on my post and that helps me further focus.

I have the full privilege of discovering things that I think and ideas that I had not yet formulated!  It has been pure delight!  Writing has been a desire of my life and as I sharpen my skills, my awareness of the people and activity around me intensifies.

There are so many voices today that processing them into a solid concepts takes discovery.  Often, I am surprised by the direction a post takes.

For me, Blogging is discovering the hidden person of the heart.
